Social Phobia just like any other phobia is a fear.
When someone is suffering from social phobia or social anxiety the
focus of fear is generally on how others see them and what others
think of them.
This
anxiety often produces such intense feelings of being judged,
humiliated or embarrassed that every day situations become
uncomfortable sometimes to the extent that these situations will be
avoided at all costs and should the sufferer be forced to face the
situation it will create high levels of anxiety which can lead to
panic attacks.
Are you suffering from
Social Phobia ?
If one or more of these situations
produce feelings anything from discomfort all the way up to intense
fear and need to avoid or escape them you are probably experiencing

A constant sense of being watched and
judged on their looks or their actions can lead to a avoidance
of responsibility or attention which prevents some suffering social
phobia from enjoying life and progressing in their chosen
profession.
Here is a short list of some common
symptoms and behaviours caused by social phobia;
I provide a very effective treatment for removing your phobia.
Understanding your phobia is not enough, conscious understanding of
phobias produces no real relief from phobic responses like fear, shaking,
feeling faint, panic, palpitations, sweating etc and all the side effects
of reacting in this way; worrying what people will think of you, not being
able to do certain 'normal' things because of your phobia, so we won't be
making you hold large spiders ,climb ladders or eat foods you hate!
We know that Phobias
prevent many people from doing what they would love to do in their lives,
holidays abroad due to flying phobias, eating certain foods due to
Emetophobia
(a fear of being sick) from a fear
of spiders (arachnophobia) to not being able to speak in public
(glossophobia) phobias can be very restrictive on your life.
I treat the
cause of your phobia, removing the 'unconscious' cause of the problem
offers a permanent 'cure' of your phobia, removing the symptoms for good.
Phobia s are a symbolic
representation of internal anxiety
A
symbolic representation of an internal anxiety.
Although some Phobias appear to serve an obvious purpose (fear of
fire, drowning, heights etc.) others seem to make no sense at all but as
strange as some phobias seem your mind thinks they are all serving an
important purpose.
Many people suffer phobic reactions
to things from feeling a little bit silly about something to a full blown
panic attack when they are forced to face their phobia.
Most Phobias are not directly related to the
cause of the emotion, they are 'symbolic of it'.
Phobias are often called fears and fears are
often thought of as phobias but they are quite different to each other. Fear
has an obvious focus on danger to us. Phobias are irrational, excessive
reactions to often non dangerous objects animals or situations yet they
cause huge amounts of anxiety, heart pounding, tremors, shortness of breath,
dizziness etc.
